Green amethyst has a quality that is rare in the green stone family: it holds light without announcing itself. The color is a cool, clear sage, translucent rather than saturated, the kind that shifts when you move. Lynne Gyorey selected these stones at the Tucson Gem Show specifically for that quality of translucency — the ones that look alive when light passes through them. She wire-wrapped each stone individually, pairing them with keshi pearls along an 18k gold over brass paperclip chain: organic, irregular, no two alike, each one formed without a nucleus and entirely on its own terms. Together they cascade in a 2.5-inch waterfall drop that moves without effort.
